Inspection for the shops that big vision skipped.
VZSOR LLC is a Texas company based in Austin. We build AI visual inspection for small, high-mix machine shops where a person still checks every part by eye.
Built from the shop floor.
VZSOR started with time in a machine shop and in CAD at a hardware company, watching how parts get checked before they ship: one person, one light, one long tray. The inspection was careful, and it still depended on how many hours that person had been looking.
Vision systems that could help were priced and sold for production lines, with integrators and engineering projects attached. The shops that run a few hundred of a part and then change over were left out.
So we built a station: a fixed camera, an enclosed light, a fixture and software that learns from good parts. It flags what looks wrong, a person decides, and every part gets a record.
Four rules we build by.
A product, not a project
Big vision systems are platforms sold through integrators. Small shops need a kit that arrives ready: camera, light, fixture, software.
Good parts are enough to start
Shops have plenty of good parts and few defect samples. Training on good parts only removes the biggest barrier to starting.
The inspector keeps the call
A camera that flags parts helps a tired person. A camera that silently signs off parts creates a new risk.
Numbers on your parts, not ours
Results on a demo part prove little. A pilot measures escapes and false rejects on the part you actually ship.
