What is VZSOR?
An AI visual-inspection station for small machine shops: camera, enclosed light box, fixture and software on one bench. It flags parts that look different from your good parts and keeps a photo record of every part.
What defects can it find?
Visual defects on the faces the camera sees, such as scratches, dents and nicks. It has been validated on one part so far, a 2 × 2 in aluminum L-bracket with a mill finish. Other defects and parts are what a pilot tests.
Do I need defect samples?
Not to train. The model learns from about 60 photos of good parts. Known rejects are useful to build the test set for a pilot, so we can measure escapes.
Does it measure dimensions?
No. VZSOR is not a gauge or a CMM and makes no dimensional claims. Keep your measuring equipment for size and position.
Does it replace my inspector?
No. It is an operator assist. Flagged parts go to a person, who makes the final call. Overrides are logged with a written reason.
Pilot and pricing
How does the pilot work?
$3,500 for 30–60 days on one part number, with the station on loan. Success is 0 escapes at 5% or fewer false rejects on a test set we agree on before we start.
What does a station cost?
Station pricing is set after the first pilots. If you buy a station within 30 days after your pilot, the pilot fee is credited toward it.
Where are you based?
Austin, Texas. First pilots are with shops we can visit in person.
Data and records
What is saved for each part?
Time, part number, lot, serial, operator, result, score, photo, heatmap and model version, plus any override and its reason. You can export it to CSV.
Where do photos go?
Inspection runs on the station in your shop. The dashboard is a web app. A per-shop setting keeps part photos on the station so only counts reach the dashboard. Confirm this fits your customer and export-control rules.
Is VZSOR certified for AS9100 or ISO 13485?
VZSOR makes no certification claims. Its records help you answer customer and auditor questions about what was inspected, but compliance remains your quality system's job.
Try it on your parts.
